Start Corporation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, was founded in 1984.

Start Corporation strongly believes in recovery, quality of life, respect, and personal choice for our clients and for everyone.  

Start Corporation has successfully established numerous programs to provide supportive housing, case management, social skills training, residential services, a clubhouse, and a Peer to Peer program for persons with low incomes and/or behavioral, physical, or developmental challenges and disabilities.

Start Corporation received 3 Year CARF Accreditation for  Case Management/Services Coordination, Community Housing, and  Community Integration.

Louisiana Coastal Homeless Coalition

The Louisiana Coastal Homeless Coalition (formally the Houma-Thibodaux Homeless Coalition) is an independent 501.c.3 organization that operates as the Continuum of Care (CoC) organization for Terrebonne, Lafourche, Assumption, St. John the Baptist, St. James, and St. Charles parishes. The purpose of the organization is to influence local homeless policy, locate and secure funding for homeless services, and administer and evaluate homeless programs to meet community needs. This organization has an independent Board of Directors to oversee its operations.
