A Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic model is designed to ensure access to coordinated comprehensive behavioral health care. CCBHCs are required to serve anyone who requests care for mental health or substance use, regardless of their ability to pay, place of residence, or age - including developmentally appropriate care for children and youth.
Directly or through formal partnership, CCBHCs provide the following 9 services:

Crisis mental health services, including 24-hour mobile crisis teams, emergency crisis intervention services, and crisis stabilization.

Patient-centered treatment planning or similar processes, including risk assessment and crisis planning.

Peer support, counselor services, and family supports.

Outpatient clinic primary care screening and monitoring of key health indicators and health risks (e.g., BMI, blood pressure, tabacco use, HIV/Viral Hepatitis).

Screening, assessment, and diagnosis, including risk assessment.

Outpatient mental health and substance use services.

Intensive, community-based mental health for members of the armed forces and veterans.

Targeted case management services.

Who qualifies for CCBHC services? Anyone within Region 3 (Terrebonne, Lafourche, St. John, St. James, St. Charles, Assumption, and St. Mary Parishes) who receives Behavioral Health Outpatient Services through Start Corporation.

Is there any additional cost? There are no additional cost to receive these services as part of the CCBHC. The programs housed under the CCBHC umbrella will bill at their normal rates. (Private Insurance, Medicaid, Medicare, Sliding Scale, etc.)
